KindleArt for Schools
Creativity, self-expression and ownership in the classroom,
where students are encouraged to imagine a new future.
KindleArt is an art education initiative founded by visual artist Kathy Murillo that introduces students to contemporary art in an accessible and inspiring way. Through creative workshops, students discover their own voice, develop their imagination, and learn how to express their ideas and perspectives visually.
Our workshops encourage creativity, critical thinking and self-expression. Students work with different techniques such as drawing, painting, collage and mixed media, and are encouraged to experiment, explore and develop their own visual language. KindleArt works from the principles of diversity and inclusion and creates a safe learning environment where every student can feel seen and heard.
The workshops are led by active artists and can be adapted to different ages, educational levels and themes within the curriculum. Whether it is a creative day at school, an in-depth art project, a series of 4, 6 or 10 sessions, or an exhibition where students present their work, KindleArt enjoys collaborating with schools and educational institutions.
